Grandpa's Applesauce, All Natural from Vermont

Located in bucolic Waterbury, Vermont Owl's Head Orchard is run by my friend Jodi Bouchard pictured here on the applesauce jar label.  My father, Walter Frey helps him harvest, manufacture and market their homemade 100% pure applesauce.  For about four years Jodi has meticulously grown and groomed a variety of fruit bearing apple trees.  This year's harvest is especially great with lots of runs of applesauce being produced as we speak.  The applesauce is generally made out of Liberty apples, a great tasting tart yet sweet apple ideal for natural applesauce.  You can buy 8. oz., 16oz. jars of sauce or buy them by the case!

If you're looking for a healthy locally made alternative to the more industrialized applesauce you find in your local grocers look no further.  Applesauce can be used in many various kinds of recipes to accentuate tastiness.  It's thick and tasty!

If you'd like to learn more call Jodi at 802-279-8421 or better yet, stop on by and visit him at 2848 Perry Hill Road in Waterbury, Vermont.  He always has jars for sale on the honor system up his driveway at $5.00  per 8.oz bottle.
